The Management of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), led by State Commandant, Engr. Felix Gbolade, paid a visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Adekunle B. Okesina, on Wednesday, April 29, 2013, to explore possibilities of partnering with the University to bring greater peace to the institution which, hitherto, has been very peaceful.

The Visitor to Osun State University and Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has congratulated Professor Adekunle Bashiru Okesina on his appointment as Vice Chancellor of the citadel of learning.

The 5th edition of the UNIOSUN Inter-Collegiate Debate and Essay Competition has been scheduled to hold as stipulated below;

Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Osun State University, Professor Gabriel Olawoyin, SAN has advised the new ViceChancellor, Professor A. B. Okesina, to ensure he leaves a credible legacy at the end of his 5-year tenure. The Senior Advocate of Nigeria gave the advice at the official presentation of Okesina to the Council.
