The Dean of the Faculty of the Social Sciences of the University of Port-Harcourt, Professor Henry Alapiki, has found panacea for the menace of poverty of leadership in the country. According to him, Nigeria needs radical changes to combat the leadership problem in the country.

As part of his love for sports and support for Osun State University, the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Omowonuola Oyeyode Oyesosin II has donated fifteen pairs of jersey to the College of Agriculture, for students use.

Osun State University has approved the appointment of its first set of first-class graduates. Eight scholars who have now been employed as Graduate Assistants into the various Colleges of the institution are: 

The Provost of the College of Law, Professor Olayiwola Oladele, has bagged the 2013 Teslim Elias Gold Medal Award for meritorious contribution to legal scholarship. The medal was awarded by the Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers.
